This saddens me. For those who don't know Hubert was Howlin' Wolf's guitar player. Wolf's music would wouldn't have been the same without Hubert.

The old generation of bluesmen is getting pretty small.

One of the greats...I just heard about this...They're getting fewer and fewer every year....he was still at it at 80...good on ya Hubert...RIP!

That's a fitting tribute. I know Hubert's playing influenced Keith as well as Clapton and Beck.

When the Stones did the TV show Shindig back in the early 60's, they only agreed to do the show if Howlin Wolf could perform too. Not sure if Hubert played on the show or if Wolf used the house band with James Burton on guitar.
