Here's #2 of 4 from my late Dad's collection.

When my Dad obtained this guitar from Ovation he was told Kenny Rogers returned it for repair. I can only guess they gave Kenny a new one as this one sat at the factory for at least several years in an unrepaired state. The S/N dates it to 1981. When it became available Dad had the service folks fix it up as indicated on the repair order, dated 10-18-90.

I think he wanted it as a novelty; the guitar has essentially sat in its case for the last 21 years. I finally broke it out last week for a quick cleaning. Even with the old strings she sounds real sweet. When I re-string it I can change the battery and check the electronics.

Appears to have Edgar Struble's name on it. He was with Kenny at that time.

You could contact him...he might remember it.

jay, that makes sense - I never understood why Kenny named his guitar 'Edgar' LOL

So I guess it wasn't one of Kenny's guitars after all.

You've got to know when to hold them and when to fold them.

Just guessing...

It is the tour logo and then the template, although separated, puts it in Struble's dressing room.

A beautiful guitar.

Geostorm; That's a Pacemaker, they are absolutely fabulous 12-string guitars! If it were mine, I'd put new strings on it, keep it out, and play it often. That guitar shouldn't be left hiding in a closet…

So this was Edgar Stubles Dressing Room guitar. You know your big time when you afford just to have a guitar for the dressing room.

Big deal. I've got 4 guitars, a bass, a mando and a ukelele in my dressing room...

I've seen how you dress. You should spend more time dressing in your dressing room and less time playing your intruments.

In this particular situation, we'd really prefer NOT to see photos...
