What's interesting in that story for me was the revelation that Mark Twain was a gigging singer/songwriter. And of course, he did it to get the girls. ;)

Interesting that he marked his case with Mark Twain rather than Samuel Clemens. Maybe Mark Twain did better with those "willing ladies".

Bobbo, I was very surprised to learn he played guitar, and I thought I was pretty familiar with his biography. Musta been loaded when I watched that, ha. KIDDING!

Having grown up in CT, been to the Twain house many times, have read most of the biographies and stories about him, I had never known he played either... feeling kinda silly about that.
