Location: Brisbane Australia | I went to the Brisbane Guitar Show today.
Jackson's Rare Guitars had some very pricy vintage guitars for sale.
Here's a couple.
1943 Martin D28
$130000 the tag says.
1956 LP Gold Top
$90000
Very Interesting

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | On "Antiques' Roadshow" (on TV) the host guy was visiting a Guitar Museum...
The guy handed him a guitar, then told him that it was an Old Martin worth around $40,000.
The host guy was scared to touch it.
The museum guy took it from him, strummed it a bit and said, "It was made to be Played!"
Then he told him that it was one of the cheaper guitars in the museum...
Still... What good is a $130,000 guitar?
You'd be scared to take it out to Play it... Or at least I would! |

Location: Brisbane Australia | The guy held it while I took a pic and handed it to me so I actually can say I had a strum of it but it was so damn noisy couldn't really tell what it was like. I expected it to be heavier than it was.
