I haven't quite figured out whether I'm a "hunter" or a "gatherer" - I guess I should check with my wife!

Anyway, I'm considering an adoption / swap for a vintage nylon O' - and curious whether there's an OFC member in need of a nice #1613 for their collection. (The 2" neck's a little wide for my spread!)

I've posted several pic's and desciptions in the Gallery (MisterGolf007 / Toys 4 $ale) for y'all to check out...shoot me an e-mail with questions or signs of interest (kurtroddy@hotmail.com) and feel free to verify my feedback @ eBay as well.

I'm thinking a shipped pricetag of about $400 is a fair deal on both sides (here's an eBay example):

Recent #1613 eBay sale

I need to figure out my course of action by the end of the weekend (6/27), so I'll stay on top of quick replies. Thanks for your investigation and consideration...All the best to you & yours~

Good Luck with it. While 2" sounds wide for a nut once you get used to it it is very hard to go back to the smaller 1 11/16 neck width.

Thanks for the insight, Bill - point well taken! Though my main O' is the FD-14, the transition from the 1 & 11/16ths (Artist & Preacher D') to the 2" neck is a bit of a stretch...My hope is that the 1 & 7/8's CA neck is going to be a very comfortable alternative.

!Muchas Gracias y Mondo Mahalos!

For the last several years I've been playing old Nationals and Collings that range from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8. Once I got spoilt (southern word) I couldn't go back. I've had my 84 Collectors converted to a new neck 1 3/4 and it's wonderful all over again.

Thanks, y'all...I pulled the trigger on the adoption - now I just have to find the new owner for the #1613.

I've softened the price to $325 plus S&H, and will throw in a couple of goodies for my OFC pals!

Say, Bill - howza bouta (a N.W. slang term) pic' or two to go wit da Bear!

!Buenos Rrrrredondos, Amigos!

p.s. mo' pic's in gallery...

OK I need to do that but have to wait till my kids come over to show me how to work the posting of pictures. Must be a sign of age.

Kurt - Hunters find things, kill em and bring em back dead. Gatherers get nuts! I tend to get nuts!

CWK2 - "Must be a sign of age." or Era? There was a time I was as nuts about the workings of a PC as I am now about roundbacks. I quit when the 486 peaked.

Seen Kurt's guitars - lovely bunch, great guy, cool kids. Has an enthusiasm that is infectious! I had GASeous visions of playing a Classical after hitting htis post. Must stay focused...

Okie Dokie, Y'all...last call before I list this babe on eBay this weekend!

Nice to see Dave's Black Beauty of a #1713 found a new home (to finance his impulse #1624) - now I gotta find a new home to finance my pre-meditated #1624.

Thanks for your e-mails and interest, and I hope this nice ol' unit finds a good OFC home.

All the best to you & yours~
