It has the New England burst finish, just like the one on the website. http://www.ovationguitars.com/index.cfm?fa=detail&mid=1271# $575 including domestic shipping.

If someone buys it from Paul before it hits eBay I will send them a reversible LX TRC in Padauk and Fiddleback White Limba. I have seen Paul (and others) do the OFC a service by offering good deals here first and I appreciate it.

Very, very warm almost woody lows to it which is sweet. It is a beautifull guitar and to my ears sounded richer, warmer and fuller than a CVT or a Balladeer Lx. I'm sure someone will really enjoy it.

The first batch of usable TRCs are fit for the LX's since they are so simple. Some have been made in the other two shield shapes as well. I have not graduated to doing inlays yet. I am finding that the key to good inlays is having manufactured guides to keep you in line. Out of curiosity was the word you wanted !%^&@$? If you want it now - see Nicholsguitars.com - Bill Nichols does an extraordinary job. If you want a custom tone or exotic wood let me know! I will take care of my OFC pals. Difference includes using a single hole to place the TRC.

Hrmm, sounds like fun! Might I suggest a Union Jack finish next time 'round? I think that'd be the cat's..er, pajamas. Inlays? I wasn't thinking of inlay. Did I say inlay? I meant engraving. Like on all the Samick imported guitars that have the model name engraved in the TRC. Actually, doesn't the LX come with the 'LX' in script in the TRC? That's what I'm talking about. Out of curiosity was the word you wanted !%^&@$? No, no. Nothing quite so meaningful. I was going to take the suggestion of someone else in an earlier thread (perhaps it was even you!) and have my wife's name engraved in a TRC for the Project Viper. I figure it will have one of two effects: a) Get her all cheesed off and thereby force the sale of PV -or- b) Get me a metric shiteload of brownie points, some of which will be redeemed for keeping her. Er, her being the guitar...I'm sort of committed to keeping the wife already anyway. :) With her being pregnant, I think I can time it just right to coincide with one of her 'mellow' moods and hit option b). Then again, I'm a guy, so that means I'll think the time is ripe to strike and I'll wind up triggering option a). But, nothing ventured nothing gained. :) If you want a custom tone or exotic wood let me know! I will take care of my OFC pals. Difference includes using a single hole to place the TRC. I was going to offer to send you the TRC off Project Viper, for layout/design purposes. But, as you're busily working on resucitating one of her siblings, I would guess you already have access to one. ;) Are you doing progress pics of the rebuild? I had some 'before' pics of mine, but can't take any 'afters' until "we" decide on which new digicam to get. =(
