Location: South Eastern Arizona | Circumstances are such that I must sell my Concert Classic Model 1116, Sr# 227052. You can see pictures in my photo gallery (tap116). As you can see the guitar and case are in excellent condition, especially considering their age (1981). There are two very small finish dings on the top that are very difficult to see and impossible to photograph. They do not penetrate into the wood. There is some minor wear on the first three frets and fretboard. The guitar has no playability issues. The guitar is pure acoustic—no electronics. Everything works on the case, and it still has its key. My asking price is $400 with buyer paying freight.
Excerpt from 1982 Ovation Catalog:
Designed for the performer as well as the student, the Ovation Concert Classic projects a warm, mellow sound. It has a full 19 frets built on the standard 25 1/4". A sitka spruce top utilizing the Ovation VT-10 bracing pattern produces a full-range sound with a little more bass than the Ovation Classic. Mated with our exclusive five piece neck that allows adjustments to compensate for changes in humidity, the Ovation Concert Classic is an instrument of excellent tonal balance designed to be the perfect practice and performance nylon string guitar at a modest price. |

Location: Midland, MI | I just went and looked at your gallery. Gorgeous top. I like the scroll on the end of the fretboard, too. I wish I could pick it up...but, I'd have to flip Project Viper and well, I'm not ready to concede that particular battle. :) |
