Which would be better to get, this one or one of those UK2 guitars? It seems that the UK2 would be cheaper. Is this one that much better?

I have a couple of the UK2's and for my money, they pretty much blow away the GP's. The GP's are a rarer bird but certainly not worth 3x-4x the price of a good UK2

The GP's got out of control because of the QOTSA dude playing one.

final price is more than 2k

it is a good guitar.. but 2k? that's too much in my opinion...

but: if you want to know the value of an item like these you have to look what people are willing to pay...

lightfoot: I would head for a UKII

well, the last time it also seemed that the good ol` ukII is as quite as rare as the gp.

I sold one ukII a couple of weeks ago to the singer/guitarist of homeslice ( a band that just got a record deal at the label of console/ the notwist) and this guitar blew his head away. now he's making his other guitarist angry (who uses a gibson sg deluxe) in fact the ukII's got the better punch.

I think the ukII would be as famous as the gp if it would be not as plain as the gp. but the ukII is living from it's intereor value.
