Joined: January 2005 Posts: 3 Location: Amador County California | I have a 1981 Country Artist model 1624 electric srl# 261704 that looks like the day I bought it in late '81 not dings, like new. The top has aged a to a nice honey color with an exact book matching. I have the original brown heavy duty case and the hang tag book (less the cover), that shows how to string and talks about the electronics. I would sell it for $400.00 plus $40.00 for ship/ins. If it cost more than $40.00 to ship and insur, I will pay the differace. The last time I sent a guitar to Martin, I think it was $45./$65. I don't recall. My email address it bcturtle2001@yahoo.com

I like the visual symmetry. and the 3 O's I currently own are deep-bowl nons. but my esteemed colleague above is probably right as to the rarity. Glenn 1758(autumn),1118Bette,1111Veronica.

If you watched that ebay sale last week on the 1674 you noticed it went for $820.00 with a soft gig bag. If you saw all the nice pictures the seller had, except for the cutaway, you were looking at my 1624

A couple of buddies and myself have an ongoing deal (yeah, yeah, I think I've already mentioned this) to find the best bottle of wine for <=$10. So, I guess the Kaiken can play! Have you had it? Would you call it good? I see it's from purchased grapes, which isn't a bad thing (my all time favorite, 1999 Smoking Loon Cab. Sau. is purchased grapes)...I'll have to get the wine guy to order some if they don't have it. Thanks for the tip!
