Your new 2-Knobber preamp kit has been in stock!
Moody upgraded his 1537 and says it was worth it. He even installed it himself. What are you talking about? Sorry for my ignorance... |

Location: SoCal | Mark adopted his 1537 from me.
Moody adopted his first '87 Collector from Tony and me.
Tony and I used to adopt and adopt-out a lot of guitars... thus the joke about the "Adoption Agency".
"Limited+™ Lifetime Warranty"... just a joke warranting the work I did on Mark's guitar.
"new 2-Knobber preamp"... we bought a handful of new 2-Knobber preamp setups for replacements in our 1537's and to have a couple local spares. |

Location: Brighty in Blighty | Maybe I'm worrying unneccessarily but it looks like the neck is coming away from the body.
Also I think the fret board needs some oiling... |

Part of the reason the 1537 has such a supperior sound is the "floating" freatboard, in other words the fretboard extension south of where the neck joins the body isn't glued to the top. It's thought that allows more of the top to vibrate, producing more/richer volume and tone.
Fretboard needs oiling? So what? Routine maintenance.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I just got back to these posts and noticed Noah's. An old friend from college was visiting. The last time I saw him I had just bought the 1537 and he had just bought a Taylor. I did way better. Since then I've gone a bit crazy, so he didn't have much chance to play them all. The 1537 plays as well as any of them. The neck is starting to show some wear, though. That might be an indication of how much I play it vs. the others. As far as the electronics upgrade, Bruce, I'll pass. I notice a difference between the old one and the new of the OFC, but I never get around to plugging any of them in. Maybe I'll start taking all the preamps out. |
