Somebody please give me some idea what to ask for this guitar (1982-8 serial #46). About to put it on ebay. Includes ovation case.

Thanks for your time

Paul, that might be a good idea but there might need to be some cash in the deal too.

hey,
Right now, I'd trade my dog who keeps sleeping on the couch for the 82 collectors. And I would go buy a rogue to throw in as well.
I am not sure if that adds up to $500 or not that the guitar might sell for, but you never know.

peace mike

To answer your original question, there really is no answer. They come up occassionally on ebay but have been all over the board on price. Put it up for auction on a 7 day but have a researve of what you want for it. See how it does. It's the only way to know for certain. I was actually being serious when I asked what you want for it. It's something you'll have to decide. A very personal decision.

The '82 project is nearing completion. The tedious crack-filling is imminent. As for fair market value, the tea leaves are still swirling on that one. They were originally about $1K, but you'd never get that today. Shoot, if it plays well, *that's* what counts.

Hey now,
For what it is worth, I saw a 1986 collectors edition sell for $430 approximately last week. Currently there is a 1983 collectors edition on ebay for $595 and it has not gotten any bids. Not sure if this helps, but putting it on ebay with a reserve that you think is acceptable is( I think) a good suggestion. peace mike

Got the critter done. Left a couple of photos in the gallery. Real sweet-playing critter- helps my grief over sending the other residents out into the cruel world recently.

Way to go Sees!
But your next purchase needs to be a camera! I'm still shooting 35 mm and scanning the 1 hour photos.

Neagle - The thing to do is put it up on a 6 day auction, start at $1 but put your reserve where you are comfortable (say $500). When bidders settle on a dollar figure you will know where you stand.
