Joined: February 2005 Posts: 2 | Hi Guy's. This is the first time I have ever used a forums .... I have an Adamas 11 1681-8 for sale. It's from my touring days back in the early 80's with Air Supply. I have done a little research and the current going price seams to be around $3000 USD. It may be worth a little more being a piece of music memorabilia ...... ? It's very clean with some slight signs of use. The frets are in excelent ondition as is the whole guitar. It was played on many of the recorings of Air Supply 1981 to 83. Anyway, I thought I'd open it up to every one and see what the vibe is. Kind regards David Moyse

Personally, I got a -7 last August for $760 plus s&h. Sure, got a good deal but would sell for $900. As to any value that might be attached to who played it...no idea.

Now mind you I thought that some of the songs they did were good and all, especially the ones that had the acoustic guitar heavier in the mix.But I don't see the guitar bringing in that amount. Posting some decent pics from different angles might give us a better idea, but i don't see it going for much over $1200 on ebay. especially since they've been sold for real good deals at $1000 or under. The fact that it was played on the road and in the studio for air supply probably won't be a big draw.

MAYBE, if you listed it on an AirSupply Fan WebPage (if there is such a thing) it might garner a BIT more than what you might get here or on FleaBay (but even THEN, it'd probably help to have some pics/documentation for authenticity). There was a link a little while ago for a supposed LindseyBuckingham CustomLegend (without docs.) for $5K. Sorry, . . but I don't think that'll happen, either. $3K for an AdII is bit price-y. G'Luck with it . .

She would then rant and rave that they were all over the radio and you couldn't not hear them. well I totally missed the late 70's and 80'and missed air supply. for christmas a year or two ago she got me the greatest hits CD to prove to me that they were a band and had hits. I did recognize the tunes when I played the CD but they just did not register at the time. cool guitar cool background good luck!

Good luck with the sale, but I have to tell you...'All out of love' and 'Every woman in the world' bring back fond memories of Junior High dances.

The price of $3k came from doing a search on the guitar and browsing through the Japanese and Korean sites. They seam to have a real love for Ovations and are asking solid $ for them, so perhaps those interested in selling should investigate that market a little more ..... Mind you the logistics and language difference could be a challenge! Had a play on it today for the first time in years and it feels and sounds great! I'll probably hang on to it and pass it onto my son later. Yep ... the boys are looking a little older ..... mind you, for 54 odd, Graeme is still looking quite fit. Me.... I was the baby in the band! Cheers guy's David

My advice (for what it's worth): Keep it/Pass it on . . .
