Because one of them duplicates the function of the "suck" knob on most mixing boards?
Sorry, I'm a purist when it comes to these. I spend too much time restoring them.
But then, when they need it, they sold cheaper. MUCH cheaper.

| ..In the late '70's I ordered a deacon identical to the first photo in the third row, then had a local custom shop strip it, shape it to the 'limited' body style, and shoot it with several coats of lacquer, it came out real nice..gave it to my oldest daughter last year, she wouldn't trade it for the world..
