Got it from Witko in December, played it till I can't play it no more. I love it, it's a fantastic instrument, it's as close to mint as you'll get without it having a 'Binaca' label. I just don't have the time to attempt to master another instrument. I'll put some pictures up later. I paid $250 for it, would like to get that out of it. My wife has no idea I'm selling anything, so don't call the house and leave messages. ;)

For those who don't know...koa topped, palm tree cutout Applause (by Ovation) ukulele. One of 40 made for seven music stores in the Hawaiin islands. Matches the 40 koa topped, palm tree parlor sized guitars they also made (no, I don't have one, and one is not included). Comes with an Ovation logoed (is that a word?) soft gig bag (which fits it perfectly).

Seriously, this thing is a ton of fun *and* a beauty. It just hasn't been out of the bag in about three weeks and it's a shame to let any quality instrument just sit around. Someone take it before I change my mind.

It's well known that I actually split my time between the garage and the storage shed in the back yard. I doubt she'd send me to a hotel...that would cost money.

Dave paid $300 for the uke, which came with no case. Then he invested another $30. to buy a new ovation logo case just so he could sell it for $250. and make sure it would arrive and be safe in its new home. Everything I know about business I learned from Al.

Dave, you need to sit down once in awhile - just teasing... :D

All of that standing must be hard...

Actually, for the new guys and gals, I have bought several guitars from StandingOvation - one of the handful of excellent guys to deal with.

If I can finalize the deal, this one is sold even though I already have one. And, although mine came with a case, I had to pay $354.

Tony, of course I KNEW you were teasing! I was just teasing "back". Hence the "smile face".

It's true that I have sold a few instruments without the original case. Either I bought them that way, or it just pained me to put a nice instrument in a ratty old, busted up, smoke infested case.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't spend all of my time on the internet. I got your second email this morning, but, alas, I work for a living now, and didn't get a chance to reply. The lady of the house wanted me to take her out for dinner this evening, and I *just* returned from that little adventure. So, now that you know the details of my day, and the reason for my delay...check your freeking email!!!!

:D

As for Witko...he cut me a deal, I'm cutting you a deal; not looking to get rich (jeebuz, everyone's taking lessons from Al, eh?). Will the circle remain unbroken? ;)

That just gave me an idea! I'm going to have some T-shirts made up that say:

"CharlieB taught me everything I needed to know about negative feedback."

Of course, nobody will get it (unless they know Charlie), so it'll be a good conversation starter.

Thanks for the quick/easy sale, Tony, I know it's going to a good home in the proper climate. ;)
