Stephen,
I woke up late, (unusual), I had my two god sons (age 11 and 5)dropped at my house unexpectedly, and after much choas and not enough coffee, I fire up computer, check email and then OFC and boom. I bid so quick, it made me dizzy. After more coffee,I am realizing how lucky I am. Sam is A-1 to deal with. it's a good day to be alive, peace

Mike, thanks for buying the adamas classical.I know you will love the sound.

For everyone else who might be interested im going to list the 1987 collectors in sunburst(only one)on ebay in about an hour or two.So, if anyone wants to talk about it call me sam 404 409-6242.Going to take some good pics right now.

Also, I forgot to put a "buy it now" on the second adamas protype(steelstring)i have listed today. If anyone wants to discuss it i can pull it from ebay before it gets a bid?

Sam,
That #11 prototype is pretty cool. If I just didn't buy the nylon string prototype (that i have been lusting after), I would take this one. What is the chance you want to part with a G.C.D.B. shiny bowl?? :)

I know it's sacreligious to suggest considering the historical signifigance of the guitar but man that f-hole proto would be sweet if the mothership got it back and finished the job,is the cutout an overlay or just jigsawed out? also looks like a much longer fretboard was attached at one time (different scale length?) what's the BIN? trade you my old wurly for it :p j/k of course(right).....belch

God Bless,

Glenn

actually I was referring to the back access door which is taped over, is that as raw as it looks or is it one piece of bowl over another? the f-holes look fine.
I know it's way out of my league right now, but I did just get back into a salaried postion so finances are heading at least into the gray and out of the red.
We're finally out of the fema trailer and moved back into and most of the house is rebuilt.

Hurricane season is just around the corner again yippee

the wurly is up for trade for a not so royal Ovation if anyone is interested.

Good luck with it, it's worth whatever you can get and more in my opinion.

God Bless,

Glenn

Sorry Glen misundersood. The back door is basically what was left over when they cut the hole out.It does not overlay.its just taped with some packing tape as it was when i got it.

How many Adamas WTC's are around. I think this thing is beautiful!!! I would love to hear one with some Savarez 520P1's (all wrapped, E through e). Fugot, You just let me know when you tire of it. I only need one kidney....

would it be worth it to send it to the factory for a new back with the proper access hole? I wonder how it would sound.....

It'd sound like the VenusD'Milo with new arms stuck on her.

It's not just "the guitar",
it's the story/history that goes with it . . .

I guess a better question would be; If you were to duplicate this as a Factory Custom Job, with the same bracing, top etc, Would it sound good?
I fully realize this one is for the history books, but do we give credit to it for the MOB/Tangent design or what?

Sorry for the bad example of "it's a long way down form the top", but some of these protoypes had to lead us to where we are now, including the current entry level crap (which is still head and shoulders above most other manufacturer's mid level Junk!!) I played a Celebrity at Costco that played/sounded better than most of the junk on the walls at GC....

None the less, Soap taken...
