Sounds like a good deal to me. Usual test of a good deal: "Would I sell it for that price?". |

Location: big island | aloha and welcome tigwelder. i cannot comment specifically on the 1598 as i have not played or heard one, but i am confident it sounds incredible, especially plugged in. i have owned an adamas smooth top 6 stringer (W597 cobalt) that remains the best sounding amp'd guitar i have played. it had the OP-50 preamp in it. acoustically it was clear as a bell and the full sound spectrum shone nicely. it was not quite as loud as i needed for un-plugged gigs and that is the only reason i sold it.
i believe you got a very fair deal on your 1598. i've seen 'em sell for more and some for a bit less. yours is MINT so congratulations! |

Welcome to the fold!
You'll love the SMT! It's a SWEET player. Now you may find other models that may 'boom' a bit more acoustically but I seriously doubt you'll be dissatisfied. I love the one I adopted from Patch.
Now that you're here, a little hint. If you're looking for a particular Ovation or Adamas, post your quest here first! Honest descriptions, honest prices and more support than anywhere else. Besides, peer pressure can be a tough taskmaster!
Enjoy! |
