The 8th tee at Rothesay Golf Course(the mountains in the distance are the next island, Aran)
Picky, picky picky, but then I did live there for a year and was born and raised 14 miles on the Ayrshire mainland...it's ARRAN. "Scotland in Minature" due to the North being craggy and mountainous and the South being rolling hills and green. Highly reccomended to anyone looking for an awesome compact holiday experience.
My favorite place, Lamlash Bay where I was named 1976 Open Sea-angling Champion..landing 76LB of rod caught Cod in the days when there was anything above about 2lbs to be caught.
Rothesay is pretty cool place too. Great weekend and day trip destination for many Glaswegians. |

Nice pic, that's almost my back yard. Nice. and YOU don't have to mow it. [/QB] You should see my front yard, which is actually, rather than almost. And I have to mow that sucker. Kinda teaches me why I became a musician.... I'm just not cut out for real work. |

Location: NJ | I DID type ARRan, but it musta' stuck & I didn't catch it till after the f$*&^@ng program "timed me out" of editing . . . sorry . .
No, it IS McClelland's (based in Glasgow, but product of Islay). It was relatively inexpensive (about $30 here), & remarkably smooth, even neat.
It's no Caol Ila, but I have yet to find that over here . . . |
