Joined: November 2005 Posts: 10 Location: Saint Paul, MN | I am very new to this site, so here goes. I am looking for an extremely early (1972 or earlier) model 1617. I'm not sure the first year they started making the 1617, but I think that is close. Also, must be the acoustic/electric version in tobacco sunburst finish. I'm picky, I know. Any help would be appreciated! Jeremy

Serial number is 058417 if anyone can help with a vintage on it! Also, I have a broken pizo bridge pickup that I need to replace, so if anyone has an extra, let me know!! Thanks!

Click on Ovation Features, Cracking the Ovation Code on the drop down menu. Then click on 6 digit series. That gives you the list of serial numbers and years.
