I just purchased a pre 1970 K1113-4 Ovation Classic Guitar with the Famous Brown Hardshell Case. The Case is missing the entire Handle Assembly (just has two empty holes for the rivets), but is otherwise in awesome shape. The Ovation Service people are not very helpful at all. Does anybody know where I can get a Handle Assembly or who the manufacturer of this case was. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Uh oh. Perhaps because they make guitars, not cases. Ovation has one of the best customer service departments in the industry.

I'm not sure who made the cases back then, but I'm sure someone around here must know.

I have bought case handles from Stewmac and just bolted them on through the rivit holes. I had to peel away slightly the fur lining to access the back of the bolts, then re-glued it. It's better than new. Dave
