Any opinions on this guitar? Does anyone here have one?

I`ve owned two.Three if you count the 92 collectors, its about the same guitar.I got my 1`st one around 93,it did not sound that good but it was the best playing guitar i had ever owned.Man i wrote alot of songs on it.The last one played great, and had a good full sound.I like them, might be my dream guitar if they had a 1,3/4 nut.

I have an 1868 and it is a great guitar if you want a SS bowl. It has a much better tone and volume than you would expect from a shallow cutaway model un-amplified. Plugged in, it really shines.
I personally prefer the cedar topped 1868. The cedar seems to give the guitar have a bit more mellow and full tone than the spruce tops.

I owned a back 1868 several years ago. In my opinion one of the best plugged in gigging guitars you can get. Nice electronics and very little feedback problems. The neck is very fast and I think a lot of electric players would like this guitar on stage. Unfortunately, I thought the unplugged acoustic sound absolutely sucked. Sorry, just my biased opinion. My only O is an 1868-4; Natural sounds better than any other color. The plugged in sound is fine, but I think I've only played it plugged in a couple of times. The tone and volume are even across and up the neck; very consistent. Workmanship is typical O, top-notch all the way. It's not going to boom, or have lots of bottom end played acoustically, but I don't think that was the primary mission for the SSB.

Thanks Guys. I just purchased one for a friend that was about to spend money on a Celebrity. I realize it won't sound anywhere as good as my 1537, but my friend is a beginner and will be getting a much better value on this at $355.

I just received the 1868 today and it plays very nice. Obviously not as nice sounding as my deep bowl, but I haven't plugged it in yet. Thanks for the input.
