I have the lovely OHSC in "Ok" shape that came from GNick, our very own Guitar Noise guy. It came with a Model 1115-1 12 fret 12 string Slothead, the Pacemaker model. This guitar has a lot of character but it is still an excellant player. The top had been separated from the bowl in the bottom bouts and Nick re-adhered it fairly well. Some binding was missing so I filled in with white epoxy and smoothed. I have new strings and adjusted the action very close. The neck is in excellant shape and it is not warped or overly worn. Excellant action up to the 13th fret and then ithe F/B tapers to the soundhole. Finish cracks have been filled and micro-polished down to a shiny finish.

I am looking for an interesting trade! As you know I don't mind broken or scuffed if it has some potential. This 12 would make a great take anywhere guitar. I can send a bunch of pictures.

Not yet. The basement is being finished so the number of guitars I have is sooooo very obvious. I think I'll have the Takamine Sun and Moon shipped to work.

By the way, thanks so very much for the GC 1618. It plays like a six and sounds like an orchestra.

It arrived the afternoon before I went to the Berkshires for a week just to play guitar. I liked it so much I put the Gibson J200EC back in the guitar closet and took it with me.

Another by the way, if you fly Southwest and take a non-rush hour flight they let you take the guitar on with you. I sent my roller bag to the hold and took on two guitars!

Trying to get your preamp, cables, tuner and other electronics through security isn't as easy, but after the latex glove cavity search all went well. The security guard was nice enough to let me know my prostate was okay too.

Did I mention I will trade for Power Tools or investment grade jewels?

Anything to get the cavity search out of my mind. I need to call United about carrion, er carry on.

Are they still in business?

Last time I checked. Too bad you didn't go AA, we'd probably be on the same plane.

Make sure you're clear about the carrion, carry-on business. They might think you're ordering a 'dietary-specific' meal.

Woody, what kind of power tools we talkin? I'm doubled up on chop saws right now....and I could use a reason to make a little room in the shop. :)

Or maybe you'd like some old growth Cedar or Doug Fir? I know a forest nearby where we keep lots of it!

Woods we got!

A Bandsaw, Table saw or Table Router would be nice. Mostly a Bandsaw!

Yeah, I guess you wood, um....would, we live in pretty much the same forest. (But have you got arbutus? I think it would be useless for instruments but makes good kitchen tools.)

Bandsaws out of the question, sorry. Tablesaw's my late F.i.L.s cast iron job, too heavy to move.(and the wife would not approve)

How would you feel about a gas-powered reel lawnmower? Or a rotortiller that needs a little attention?

Hmmm, what size bandsaw do you expect to get for an old Pacemaker? I see some hobby-size ones come up at the auction regularly, 10-12' wheels.

I'll go root through the shop and see what I think I could live without. I'm kinda buried in a project making highfire clay for a backyard beehive oven right now, so everythings a mess. (IOW, normal) :D

I put a "value" of just under $200 on the guitar so whatever is horsetraded should be comparable. I enjoy it and it palys nicely, I was just throwing the trade idea out there.

If there is someone that wants to try a 12 string but doesn't want to spend a lot or take a risk this would make a nice introduction.

Meanwhile I'll have no qualms about bringing it camping or picnic'in.

Is there an estimate on the Photo Utility repair?
