Why? Doesn't it already have enough holes in it?

The only reason I didn't put it for sale here is that the vast majority of OFC members are in the USA, where Ovations cost less and there's no international shipping to factor in. The prices for used Ovations in the UK and Europe are higher than in the US because the retail prices are much higher in the first place, so it would harldy be a bargain for a USA buyer.

Paul's right, it's already at 1100 USD which is about where it would top out here in the colonies. Plus shipping from UK to US would be a pretty pence (how am I doing, Paul?). Dave

PS - Not to mention how the rancid sweat has probably tarnished the neck just like dog piss eating the paint off of a fire hydrant. Other than that it's probably a nice guitar.

Nice imagery Dave, make sure you attend Johnny's songwriting workshop at the tour, I'm sure a few of your more choice metaphors won't go amiss.

Your love,is like dog piss
Your love, is like dog piss
You're rancid dog piss
On my fire hydrant of love.

It's not the size of the hydrant, Paul, it's what you do with it.

Well, I sang it for my wife. She said, that the song is like that expersion of an elephant giving birth to a flea, except, this was a flea giving birth to a molocule. Oooph! She makes me laugh. Anyway, I hope you guys have better luck at the song writing seminar, I wish I could be there.

This really pisses me off. This wanker
(item # 7407687268) couldn't be bothered to write his own description so he cut and pasted most of mine. This is actualy against ebay rules. If I could be bothered I'd report the little tosser. I had an auction for a '66 Epiphone Frontier ruined by scammers posting duplicates of my item using my pictures and description. This obviously isn't a scam but it's still not on. At least he's undermining his own sale and not mine.

Paul, did you forget that the wanker was you? If you have too many guitars to remember which ones you put up for sale, I bet we could find some volunteers to fix the problem. And what's a "tosser"?

Mark, get with the program, you've missed the point completely. I've sold my SMT from the listing mtnbikerfred was refering to in his original post of this thread, but the seller I'm referring to ( of item # 7407687268) has cut and pasted most of my description from my original listing which was item # 7405171293, into his. Apart from the laziness, this is a common scammer tactic for creating bogus listings. It's not good practice, which undermines buyer confidence and the whole ebay ethic
