For you guys who like to fiddle with such things...these boxes came from my '02 CL12string. I started having trouble with the sound after a year or so and Kim sent me a new preamp box. A year later I started having trouble again, and again Kim sent me a new one. All I have is the 2 black boxes...no P/U, no connecting wires, no faceplate. I don't know what's wrong with them (Kim probably has an idea), and they've been sitting on the shelf collecting dust. If you want them let me know or I'll throw them out. John <>{

When you say boxes, you mean the pre-amp minus pick up and connector? If so I take them or one of them anyway. Let me know if they are still available.

I'd like one of those!

If you need, I just accumulated some Celeb mounting plates (rectangular) and an assortment of battery boxes and parts. Add that to the solid body neck bolts and pickup adjusting screws, 1/4 turn cover receivers and some bridges.

I could really use one for the old O acoustic I bought.

I have Optima's in my 2 other O's, definately my favorite preamp.

If I can make the damn thing work I may have the first Optima equipped Kamaka tenor ukulele. I'm going to go "external" and get things working first before cutting the side hole. I was thinking I would just run the lead from the pu out the endpin and I'd "wear" the Optima in the hard cup pouch of an old athletic supporter. Once working, then I'd have the nerve to cut the access hole in the body. I'd probably continue to wear the supporter just for giggles. Dave
