Location: Phoenix AZ | Best price I've ever seen on a pre-war Martin. The pre-war years are the most sought after Martins of all time. usually they go for huge dollars but this one seems quite reasonable. And it looks to be in pretty good shape. Someone should jump on this before I do. Dave

Location: Scotland | Hardly surprising considering that the list price on a new Martin style 5 koa soprano is over $5K. 3.5k for a mahogany stlye 3 of this age and condition is bargain, if you're into that kind of thing. Wait till the current uke fad dies (and it will) and the prices should drop somewhat. |

But I'm not too sure about this auction.

Thought folks might find it interesting that there even IS a pre-war ukulele. Actually these things are quite collectable. Seeing some of the vintage Martin ukes go for $5k to $10k is not unusual. Just cuz they're small desn't necessarily make them inexpensive.
