FYI... I saw this while searching the bay.

item # 7409209035

I've hear a lot of the members talk about this guitar. Is it worth the price tag?

I think that the price tag is about what people bought them for here in the US. The only problem with buying from this guy is, would you get a warranty?

Is it a reissue? Interesting that with only 6 in the US and him having 2 of them there are 2 1651s for sale on ebay at the same time. The other one is the subject of the original John Lennon thread on the General forum.

My recollection is that I paid about $600 for my original 1651 back in the spring of 1982.

This was listed before. I think there were 6 in the US. Al had 4 of them and this guy bought the other 2. Or something like that. This is a very rare find and definatly worth the price. It's worth more than a used original 1651. Dave

Al had all 6. This guy bought 2. I think he was hoping to sell one for profit, to cover the cost of the other one. Apparently these are selling for $2-3000 in Japan.

As far as I can tell, the owners are:
Me (ttenn)
StandingOvation
Stonebobo
Tony Calman
shantisf9 (bought 2, selling one on Ebay)

Anybody know if he sold it? The auction has been removed.
