Depending on what the factory would charge for restoration, this might be worth the investment. Was the Breadwinner Limited also made in a 12-string?

There is only 1 Breadwinner Ltd 12 string of which I'm aware and it was built by MWoody.

Yeah, I think I saw that in the photo gallery somewhere...was just wondering. I had an original Deacon 6 before I knew of the Limited models, and had the Deacon's body contoured in a similar fashion to what the Limited looks like now. Gave it to my daughter in Washington. She would like to have the binding restored. It's ivory and is coming off in pieces now..

They can redo the ivoroid binding at the factory. On the previously mentioned Limited Deacon 12 I have the end of fretboard "mustache" sitting in a drawer.

This one looks nice.

There is also an "Arch Deacon" on US Ebay right now that has gutted electronics and a Preacher Deluxe neck. I tried to help the Seller and I wasn't exactly welcomed.

Mutts are fun too!

I have a deacon 6 and a deacon 12 string (like the one in the german ebay ad.
The 12 is a great guitar! It has a wide neck and is ideal for 12 string playing. I have big hands and this guitar is ideal for me.
The sound is wonderful too. It has the usual volume and tone and midrange cut switch which gives the guitar a really angry sound I like.
It is too bad that all the electric 12 strings arent made like this - I have tried many and none compare with the deacon.
The Rickenbacher 12 is impossible to play unless you have tiny hands and the strings are just too close to each other.
Anyone else out there have a deacon 12?
I got mine for only $450 from Daddy's Junky Music in Peabody MA about 8 years ago.

1946dodge, there are several of us with deacon and/or preacher 12's and most of us agree with you....they are one of the best electric 12's made.

Go to the members gallery and check out some of the collections.
