Can't tell if those are finish only cracks or if, due to the replaced bridge, they are top cracks. It is beat but if playable for a time, would make a great Factory redo!

If you can pick it up for that much, it would still be a good rework guitar. I sent my 1537 in to the mothership to to have it gone over. The only thing I complained about when I sent it in was the electronics needed replaced and the backside/bowl paint was chipped. When I got it back it had a brand new bowl, new electronics, a fresh setup, a small finish crack repair, and the top buffed out. Price tag: $400. A good investment as far as I'm concerned. That headstock can be easily repaired also. Once stripped down along with the neck, the small depression can be steamed out. The wood fibers will swell back. The tuners appear to be pitted also. Anyway ... it's still a 1537 and repairable.

Is that just because you have been able to compare numerous 1537's or do you feel that way about all sunbursts? I know my '87 collectors from Samova is a sunburst and sound fantastic but I have never had another '87 (or sunburst) to compare it to.
