Currently there is an 1187-2 and a 1687-2 on ebay.

What are the main differences between these 2 guitars?

I was wondering if you were testing us. I asked a similar question about a 1713 and 1763 once, but the answer was cutaway vs. noncutaway.

Ahhh I never knew the Adamas was made without the electronics. Does this mean it has a solid back and no hatch???

The very early acoustic only Adamas (slotheads) had no hatch. Cliff's is like this. #47 also has no hatch and that's the way they made the #47RI, no hatch. What you do to fix (for example) a loose brace is WAS (Wild Ass Speculation), although I have it on good authority from the factory service department that a Saws-all is involved. Once full production started, pretty much all acoustic only adamas had hatch doors for obvious reasons. My W681-TA and U681-TA acoustics have hatches. Dave

Interesting I see the auction now and I see it has aphoto of the back and the access hole. I'll bet the lack of the opening on the older Adamas Slotheads is one of the reasons they sound just that much better. Nothing to break up the sound.
Interesting guitar Not sure if remember seeing one of these for sale before with no electronics?? I am really getting fond of that Red as well.
