With the same description as a 'reissue', sold from a german for his greek friend - like it is announced now. I don't know if it was sold, but that sounds a little strange to me, because there have been a lot of bids. Maybe you will ask the seller about that. Better than dumping some money. Best regards to germany from germany, Kurt

Joined: August 2004 Posts: 709 Location: Germany | Thank you folks for your help, advice and congratulations. I always wanted a red 2-knobber (preferably a wide neck - but time made me feel humbled). Kurt, I appreciate your advice. I will process the transaction via a trust service or pick it up personally. I will let you know when I have it in my hands. Jozef, I'm more crazy than rich. If I would be rich, I would try to get an original slothead - but this is only a dream (Cliff, YOUR #54 is the Stradivari!). Guiguite, I'm so sorry having overbidden you. Don't be sad - You have such an hell of Ovation and Adamas collection. Hope we can meet somewhere down the road and share our passion. Karl

Hmmm ... the kids are all gone now, so THAT is out of the question ... Guitars? ... nope, can't do that either.

Joined: August 2004 Posts: 709 Location: Germany | Sorry for bumping this thread, but I have bad news regarding this Adamas I. Got the guitar very fast, but it was not in the expected condition. It was born as a wide-neck (1689-2) and an amateur luthier converted it to a standard neck (1687-2): Neck and peghead were damaged, frets and fretboard outworn. All in all not worth the money I payed for it. As I handled the transaction via a trust service, I was allowed to send the item back and then got back my money from the trust service. The service costed me $19 but I had the certainty to get back my $1900. That's the world of ebay. What will be the next adventure? Karl
