is it bad if I say she has been at the factory all this time, waiting to be picked up with two other repairs. time all of a sudden has become a precious commidity, who would have thunk it.

I just hope the factory has not floated away........expensive blue slothead guitar, I miss you...

He doesn't have it yet. He's been out of town, and is going OOT again. I'm waiting for him to tell me when to ship it.

I'm back. Stephen, once I played yours, it was just a matter of time before I had my own. Tom's bacame available and I snagged it. Tom will ship it when he can, but I'm off to Nova Scotia on a motorcycle trip for three weeks on the 12th, so I can't enjoy it until August. I might even stop by the Mothership on my way. Anybody know if they offer drop-in tours? This fills spot No. 2 on my Adamas rack. Spot No. 3 is still being readied for another Adamas if and when the factory might release it. By the way, the custom Adamas neon sign is coming along very nicely. The design and size are finished. I'm trying to decide on the tubing, regular commercial quality or the very top-of-the-line stuff at about $5 more per foot (the sign will require about 100 feet of tubing). I'm thinking go with the best quality available.

I am glad you were able to score one at such a good price. I was really struggling with the thought of selling mine so this made it real easy for me to keep!

Have a safe trip and keep us updated on the sign.

My hand is a little better to the point that I can almost make a decent sounding barr chord so maybe when you get back we can get together for a jam.

Stephen,

My hand is 100% and my barre cords are still questionable!

Glad to hear your are improving.

Thanks, Stephen. I already have a gig set for the Adamas II (along the coast in Mendocino CA) so I better learn some songs before then. I intend to take the Trace Elliot TA100R I just picked up because it is small and easier to pack up than anything else. We'll get together in August sometime.

On its way. He should be getting it about the time he leaves the country! I tried to get him to let me keep it for the next few weeks while he is gone, but NOOOO!!!! He wanted to have it available when he gets back!!

You'll love it, Professor!

Rumor has it I'll have a 1681 reissue for sale soon....

Ok, back in town and finally got a chance to tune and play the II. I love it! It is bit more bold than my Legend Limited, and the cutaway sure makes the higher frets more accessible. It will be awhile before it has that broken-in feel of a guitar that you've been playing for 25 years, so I'll have to get started.

For those of you living in the mid-west, I now have a much better appreciation for heat and humidity. It was awfully hot. In Colorado, we can see triple digit heat but rarely with any humidity. Then again, I was on a motorcycle returning from Nova Scotia so I always had wind to assist in evaporation.

Depends upon the day and destination. At present, I have a 92' Harley Low Rider Custom bought new with 62,000 miles, '99 BMW K1200LT bought new with 48,000 milee, '89 BMW R100GS with sidecar, and '04 Kawasaki KLR 650. I sold a '72 Triumph TR6C Trophy and tricked out '00 BMW K1200RS last spring. I am trying to stick with the LT for long rides with my BMW pals, but the new R1200RT is calling me. It has more HP, 200 pounds less weight, and isn't top heavy like the LT.

Nice. You obviously have lots of spare time to do your own wrenching.

Not too much anymore, Waskel. It cuts into my guitar playing. Believe it or not, the Harley has been the most dependable bike I've ever owned. It isn't as fast or smooth as the BMWs, but the riding position is more comfortable for me.

That's good to hear, HD's aren't really known as 'low maintenance' bikes. I've got a friend who has a couple BMW's and really likes them.

Something about both enjoying a ride in the back of a pickup truck.

The cheapest thing on a BMW . . . the rider.

Dang! that went fast! I didn't even get to get over to Ebay to see it before you got it. Was that a Buy it Now option?
