Due to one of the most bizzare situations I've ever dealt with, my 1994 Custom Legend is now back up for sale on ebay. (see thread on "seller beware alert")

This guitar is now close to mint, thanks to Ovation's awesome techs and a month of service time. I will accept $950 from any OFC members who are interested. This one is a gem!

New eBay ID. In less then 10 minutes, the guy pulled the trigger on eden's BIN and 9 others for a total outlay over $8000.

You know, you can block bidders with zero feedback.

This genuinely sucks. He needed that auction to go through. Hopefully ebay can set the clock back.

How about restricting the BIN to pre-approved bidders?

Ay Caramba! EH, I'm getting the feeling there's a power out there that does not want you to give up this guitar.

Sounds like the guitar from hell to me. It's possessed!!

Have you considered an excorsision? Does the peghead rotate? What's that green stuff on the strings?

Man, I hope you're able to sell this thing soon!

I agree.

I think Ebay should re-set the auction. OR, Andrew should just keep this badgirl, cuz this guitar does not want to be shipped. I own the same guitar but a 99' and I would not part with her. There has got to be a home here for her.

OK...just in case.

The exorcism is done.

Anyone know how to contact ebay by phone, or get ahold of someone that matters. I sent a VERY NOT HAPPY email to their "fraud" and security center, though I have no idea what good that will do.

I am so pissed I can't stand it now. How many of these (pardon me) ASSHOLES are out there? I'm starting to agree with you about this guitar. It was cursed from the beginning, as this was the one I bought thinking it was my stolen one...

My mom wants to use it for kinling at the next family barbecue...

This time, I'm going after ebay for this. There is no excuse for letting this many scammers bid on things. Why not require a feedback of +5 or so before a user can use BIN or a method other than Paypal? I tried to cut out money orders, international bidders, and anyone with less than a 5 score on the auction, but on a "relisting" they don't apparently allow for that. More ebay bull!

Okay, hopefully third time's the charm...

I'm going to have to argue ebay out of a chunk of fee monies, but here it is; no international bidders, Paypal only, and IMMEDIATE payment required on BIN buyers. Five-day listing, so if you're interested, PLEASE grab fast! I will ship to OFC members in any country, provided I get good cleared payment first, $935 plus actual shipping to any OFC member.

The Prodigal Guitar

If you're looking at a mid or shallow bowl Ovation for performing, this one is AWESOME! I'm at the point where I would just keep it if I wasn't out almost three grand right now. It would have a very happy home next to my Adamas II...

Anyone interested, email me ASAP!

EH, that's a very attractive listing!
Nice work!

One thing, tho. To view OFC gallery photos you have to be a registered member.

Ah, so we should be expecting an influx of newbees...

Good luck, Andrew, this whole situation really sucks. And we are going to miss seeing you tomorrow.
My mistake, you can't block zero feedback bidders, only -1 or less. Ebay should certainly give you the option of blocking zeroes from BIN's, or at least notify you that they're trying! That would eliminate a lot of this type of scamming.

EdenHarvest,

Contact me if it doesn't sell and you are interested in trading for the JL3 (just to get rid of it).

Thanks for the offer, Tom. If I don't sell it this time, I may just do that, just to keep it from becoming very expensive firewood.

Okay, one last try...

I still have a very beautiful looking, sounding, and playing Custom Legend that desperately needs a new home. This guitar is insanely clean and sharp, particularly for 12 years old.

I've reduced asking price to $895 for OFC members, plus actual shipping charges (or free local pickup for all the NW guys & gals).

I will also consider reasonable offers. I really want to see this go to a good home, and this guitar is BEGGING to be plugged in and turned loose! Email me for pics or more info.

Sorry Andrew, I think I'm gonna pass on this one. That is a beautiful guitar, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I don't really have GAS right now and the cootie should be showing up soon, PLUS I'd like to sell the JL3 to cover some of the cost of the cootie.

Anyways, good luck with your sale.
