I know, I know I should have been playing the 1537...

Had a session on the old 84C last night was you know what I love the ebony fingerboard and jumbo frets combo, lurvly feel and is a dream to play.

Well done Ovation, nice work!

Stop it!

No I am not buying another Ovation!

Having said that the W597 does have an Ebony fingerboard and the frets kinda look quite large...

Arrgghhhhh! :)

Ahh but Dweez, these are much more difficult to come by than the W597 (even the cobalt ones). Remember the basics of guitar buying:

Deep breath...
Let it out slowly...
Squeeze the trigger.

Hoho!

I would like a nylon string to replace my Line6 Variax but not just yet - the W597 comes first.

dweezil, mind if I ask why a w597 instead of a 1581 or 2080?

2080 - don't like the sound hole styling
1581 - non ebony fingerboard, like the cobolt blue

Why you ask?

Just curious. IMHO, either one will sound better than a w597.

W597 is in the ball park, and if you like the looks, I say go for it and don't look back. The 2080 is awesome though.
