On ebay, no case, but a rare wide neck version.

Great price and you can occasionally find a case. I believe Noah had an extra at one time.

Please tell me more about the spray foam method of packing for shipping! I have to know... I may need to do this in future...

I am having very anxious images of a guitar in a bag, in a box and someone spraying in that Contractor’s Foam in the aerosol can. The next sound you hear is the expanding foam crushing the guitar as it expands mercilessly!

Am I alone in this?

Yeah,

There are some "bagged" mold to shape foam products that are pretty good about being limited to the volume of the bag. There is only so much material in the bag, so they shouldn't crush anything, but I too have seen misused contractors foam popping drywall off the wall etc.

Besides, everyone knows that it would travel better in a gig bag inside of an Ovaation box otherwide filled with old pizza boxes, newspaper and, Diet Pepsi cartons Ala Al.....

We used to send laser-printers out for shipping by:

Take the empty shipping box and fill 1/2 to 3/4 with foam.

Place a sheet of plastic (larger than the size of the box) over the foam.

Place the printer on top of the plastic and slowly push it down into the wet foam.

Smooth the plastic over the remainder of the foam.

Once the foam is "set" you can pull the printer out, and it creates a custom-fit "well" to place the printer into for shipping.

This is the same guy that sold me my '97 Collectors' back in April of 2004. At that time, it was his only Ovation of maybe 10-15 others. Guess he's back in the fold.

I still have that extra case.
The outside shows some wear, but the inside is perfect. There was no interest in it so I thought I'd prop the lid open and let the cats have it for a bed... I just have to get rid of some amps in the music room to free up some floor space.

Maybe you can contact the winning bidder and offer him the case for a good sum of money.

Then you can buy the cats a real bed and some litter!

Yeah Tony - I'm back in the fold...
(actually i never left... I sneak in on occasion to see who's picking up the '97 parlors)

turns out it wasn't necessary to sell mine originally... so, I've kept a lookout for one ever since - and when the wideneck hit - well, I wasn't here to play games this time ....

Anyhow...

I NEED A CASE!!!

anyone have a '97 case around!?

Randy

Randy,

About time ;)

Let's see, you also need an Adamas I, Adamas II, at least one with the VIP pre-amp, Viper, a Custom Legend, etc. (As you might have observed, we love to spend other members money.)

Gee, I have a case for a parlor on a stand in the living room. Maybe?

Wonder if there is an extra one somewhere in the factory?
