Balladeer (?) on ebay, that looks more like a 1651 Legend to me. Hard to tell from the pictures. Anyone need a real beater?

Color looks too light to be a 1651, nor does it appear to have the stacked knobs.

Tuners look to be in pretty good shape. Actually I'm surprised the wings are still intact. On 70's era guitars these things were usually the first part to fall off.

By the way there is a nice Lennon Legend 1651 on eBay right now. Too lazy to look up the number. It looks slightly lighter wood color than most I have seen. Hope someone grans it. These are nice guitars.

Got an email from the seller - the label appears to be either half ripped off or worn somehow so it's not legible. Serial number is 117328, which does put it in '77. Could be a decent beater, but I can't imagine it would be worth much as a restoration project.

It's got a Willie Nelson sort of appeal. But I wonder why they even bothered with a pickguard.

I want to bid on this SOOOO bad I can taste it but hitting the "Bid" button will be the last thing I ever do.... One more topless bowl laying around would push Honey way over the edge of sanity.

I hope I get home first when all that veneer arrives.

I thought these things could survive with the La- cocarachas and Rats. Won't be playing this one after the apocolypse!

Speaking of Apocolypse; in the book of revelations, Luke and John, whilst plucking upon their holy O's and feasting upon the blessed rats................

I have a 93 collector's that's stripped of its' top and waiting for me to fit the bubinga. The Tornado trapeze is on its' way, and I'm on the way to making a version of the Jazz O.
I have a '74 Custom Balladeer that's halfway to getting it's new Elite style top fitted. What's that make it - a "Ballete?"
I have a 12-sting Elite that is being refinished.
I have a 12-string deep bowl neck that needs a bowl.
I have a very understanding wife.

That makes you a lucky one! I want to see someone put an F-hole flamed maple archtop on a shallow Ovation bowl and 6-string Adamas neck and see how it sounds. Shallow acoustic, jazz-style setup, dual HB's, floating saddle & Bigsby tailpiece. Just because!

How about a '93 collector neck (gold and ebony tuners) and bowl, figured bubinga top, gold Tornado trapeze tailpiece, ebony bridge with orignal pickup. Some custom cutout(s) TBD - (not liking the cats' eye, leaf epis too common, oval too plain, maybe "f" hole(s)?)
