Location: Plattsburgh, NY | Hey I forgot to get me bid in for that old style breadwinner pup that was on Ebay. Anybody happen to have one? My preacher had it's original bridge pup swapped out for a piece of crap and I wanted to try replacing it with another ovation pup. Looks to me like the breadwinner pup will fit since my pick guard has already been cut to fit a larger pup. Let me know... I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks,

Location: Upper Left USA | Not sure how or if this will fit in but I have a NOS white polane painted Breadwinner body that is one of the early models.
Side jack location, larger pup cavity and soldered copper shield box. One piece Mahogany hiding underneath.
Now if you are trying to replace a pup in a Preacher why are you looking at the early BW pup?
Miles has some Preacher/Deacon and other pups for sale on his Family Web Store. |

How about a new pickguard? |

Location: Plattsburgh, NY | My preacher is a player, not really a collectible. I'm not really looking to restore it and I've gotten kind of used to the fat humbucker in the back. it is old and I use it to make percusive sounds. I wanted to see if the old breadwinner pickup would have a better tone, but still preserve some of the ticky tacky sounds when it is hit with a pick.
Plus, everybody has seen pickups swapped out in the bridge position... wouldn't it be cool to see a preacher that's been swapped with another ovation part? I thought so... and since this guitar is my baby and no price could make me part with it - I figured I'd dress her in the pickups of my choosing! :-)
A long explanation I know... but what can I say, I'm a wordy mother.
peace,
