..looks the top off of an old can of Enfamil baby formula...mounted backwards... The factory must have an original replacement for this?..it can't be that hard to find..

I woulda bid on that... But it is already heading outta my range, and there are 5dys left. I assume he's been playing it! So what works works! Connecticut Yankee Ingenuity!
To show my inexperience, how is the real cover supposed to attach? and are the brackets still there.(I woulda sent-off for a new cover)

The "real" cover has a self contained 4 prong clamp with a single center screw.

Also on closer inspection it has a shaved ear on the treble side of the headstock and the G string tuner post has a perfect concentric circle scratch which looks like some one has had the tuner off at some time and been less than careful in using a socket/spanner to tightern it back up.

We should keep these images in the database for novelty value if nothing else :-)
