Location: VA | I have this 1674 CA for sale for a friend, but wondering about what they normally sell for? The only thing I can see missing is the trussrod cover. Looks to be original, and it is a one owner. Still has the owners manual I think. Also has the original hardcase. If you folks could help me with this it would be appreciated. If noone here is interested I'll be posting it on Ebay.

Location: Central Massachusetts | Tom, welcome aboard. Stick around a while. Search for '1674' in the search tool to learn about these instruments.
These are great guitars, especially plugged in. The cutaways are also very rare -- no more than about 400 1674's built I've heard.
I've seen $750 thrown around a lot for models in great shape. Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of demand for them at the moment so you may have trouble getting that today. Hold onto it until people's tax returns start coming in and I bet you won't be disappointed.
Your friend may be able to get a new TRC from the factory since he is the original owner. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Without going to the bible (my stack of catalogs, Jerome's website, the O-Decoder, or give Moody a call) I think the differences are the following:
1674 has a stick on rosette vs. flush indian blanket. 1674 has stack v/t or OP24 vs. Op-X. 1674 has sealed tuners vs. open gears. 1674 has gloss neck vs. satin. 1674 has nylon strings vs. steel.
There may be more differences. Dave |

I make so many typos, foopaah's and outright mistakes that I can't help but have a little fun when a brother does the same. Everything else I wrote above is true. Maybe the bracing is different. I actually thought the 6773 was rather nice but it had a few too many frets for me.

Location: East Tennessee | I have a 1624 which I usually tune down to "D".
I play in a band at church and they do a lot in Eb, Bb and F. By using a capo I can usually play in a more "Guitar Friendly Key". So having the extra two frets to the neck is Ok. |
