The seller says us, canada and PR, if no one on the board has one they want to part with, maybe someone here could(Adopt) or obtain it for you and ship it out..Just a thought. it has a $790 starting bid and a buy it now at $799 us dollars. $40 shipping. you may also be able to contact the seller via email and see if he won't consider shipping the guitar to Germany. If he has no bites and my guess is he might consider shippng it to you. The shipping amount would change and you would be responsible for the taxes-export fees.(Im not sure what that comes to on a guitar of this amount.) here is thelink.... http://cgi.ebay.com/1995-Ovation-6774-Folklore-Country-Artist-Guita... hope it helps.

I really really like to have an older folklore without cutaway, I am keen on the 1614. So I will patiently wait until I find a 1614,(Which is difficult for me :-)) I was already reading here a quite a while before registering and your infos and comments already bewared me for paying moon prices for an ultra or pinnacle here on ebay Germany :-)

But with a deep-bowl, I'm sure it would fill a room. I would email seller for a close-up of the crack. I would also contact the seller about how new a case he is offering, unless you got one. If I were the seller, I would have also put new strings on before I photographed it. Look at the crud on the 1st & 2nd strings. I would have invested $7 to make it look/sound better (or less, he owns a store!). I'd also wait for a more learned opinion, but with a BIN I wouldn't wait too long. Merry Christmas, with the time-shift, yours is about over... So Happy New Year. edit- As a Man, I like the cutaway. Looks agressive.

I like the comment about the cutaway very much :-) I am really tempted to get that piece right now, seller has good feedback and offered a case as well..Iknow the price is not too cheap but here in Europe it is difficult to lay hands on a folklore !

I am a gut person and your comment was the missing piece! And I trust my gut- feeling :-) I am still interested to buy a 1614, in the meantime I will amuse my neighbours with a 1114 :-) I will keep you guys posted, how it went and will post some photos then !

This will be my first Ovation !

They come up fairly often and occasionally you can get a good deal like I did because the seller doesn't know what they have. Since I never plug mine in, the 1114 would do just fine, so it may be all you want as well. Welcome.

Joined: December 2006 Posts: 10 Location: Germany | Thanks Mark ! I also do not intend to plug it in , so I might be even absolutely happy with my 1114 ...I will keep an eye on ebay for an 1614, yet here in Germany people are so desperate to get an vintage Ovation, they buy Pinnacles made in Korea for 400 Euro without case and shipment . So I will watch out for an US based auction and deal then later with customs :-) BTW which strings can you recommend for the 1114 ? What do you use ?
