This might be a good opportunity for one of our most coveted guitars, although seller does disclose a crack. Too bad I'm broke... it belongs in the family, phil

Very.....

Wish he had a good pic of the crack. I would bid but it would probably blow the BIN for someone who really wants it.

that crack looks like it is in the soundboard...I know...I've seen two too many that look just like that (my 1117 and 1537).

Too good to pass up. I'll adopt it for awhile and try to keep it in the family. If the crack looks like it needs repair I'll send it to the factory. Dave

His new pictures show a pretty significant crack, but it may be just in the finish. I paid more for mine with a finish crack up by the neck and now I've found a bump in the neck, which may be a more significant problem. Someday I'll send mine back to the factory, but I'm going to try the superglue method first. It's on the list of things to do when I get time.

You know what? Dave's paid $650 for the guitar. He sends it to the factory, they do their magic on the top and for about a grand, Dave's got one of the best wood topped Ovations ever built. It's a smart buy.

I'll need to remove the electronics, have the neck glossed and put in a GC TRC.

No delivery yet. I'm anxious to check this 87C out. I hear such good things about them but have only played a couple and alwasy under less than ideal conditions. Dave
