After LOTS of thought I realized that this is the one I play the least, since I do a lot of upper-fret work I need the cutaways. I've had this since I bought it from the original owner in 1987. It was my first Ovation and it has a lot of sentimental value. BUT I've decided that I cannot afford to keep a guitar primarily for its collectable and sentimental value. I'm going to hold it here for a week and then send it to Ebay. I'm asking $800 + Shipping from MI 49663. The only issue other than a couple minor finish cracks is the tip of the headstock was broken off and professionally re-glued. Hardly noticeable from the front, and doesn't effect anything other than a place in my heart. Pics are posted in the gallery.

Sunburst ones, black ones, etc. Funny how this stuff seems to go in cycles. Would seem to be a great time for anyone interested in picking up one of Ovations BEST wood topped guitars. Dave

Sometimes a run of Adamas guitars, sometimes Elites. It's my guess that as we approach tax time, people are unloading items they regularly wouldn't, to come up with cash.

Due to an unforseen and enormous auto repair bill in the thousands$, I had to back out of my deal with gh1 for his beautiful, black 1537. He was very understanding and allowed me out of our agreement graciously. So now if you're in the market for a 1537, you have a choice of natural (bvince), sunburst (ebay) or black (gh1).

Good luck with the Lasik surgery, my sister had it done and threw her glasses away 20/20 after a lifetime of wearing glasses and contacts. :) :D
