I was considering a 1997 collectors, but I've grown to like the standard headstock that the 5741's used rather than the slotted. I guess Ovation made only a few of these. Probably from the bowls left over of the 97 collectors. And I think they were available in a brown sunburst. Let me know, thanks ! Ernie

John at Ovation told me once they could still get the cases that will fit the parlor from SKB. It's been at least 2 years since I saw one on Ebay...

One pic shows the guitar from the front with the regular headstock and then there are front and back shots with the slotted headstock. AND - the front shot against the fence is the regular head, the backshot against the same fence is slotted - and then another slotted against a different backdrop. Time for bed... BTW - this is a crappy post for my 500th! I'll have to plan something better for 1000. P.S. - What was in the boooooooooox???

It arrived with no problem and pretty much as described. I haven't assembled it so the neck hasn't been tested. The weird auction showing the slothead front and 12 string back is item #110079286508. -Steve W.

A new case for the 97 collector or the parlor is about 250 dollars, according to John B a couple of years ago. For the asking price, I would hope it has the special parlor size case. Ernie
