Location: CT | OK, here it is. If you don’t know what it is, move on, it’s not worth your while. The Holy Grail of studio compressors! Classic Tube compression smoother than a babies butt, and time for me to let it go. This is the original, not a re-issue. I’m not sure of the year. If anyone can decipher serial numbers, maybe it’s in there. Since they started making re-issues, it’s very hard to find an original that someone is willing to part with. When you could find these for sale on eBay side-by-side with the new ones, these always brought a higher price. I’m offering this here to OFC’ers first, and I don’t want to ask too much, but also don’t want to take a bath, so here’s how this is gonna work. If you’re interested, PM me with a reasonable offer (hint – $150 is not a reasonable offer). I’ll take offers for a week, until Sun. 2/25, and highest offer gets it. If I don’t get any offers here, (or any that I like), you can all join the bidding wars with the rest of the planet on eBay. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay, with over 60 transactions, so you will get what’s advertised. If it is NOT as advertised, I will take it back – and note those discrepancies to the eBay world. As an honest seller, here is my disclosure. It’s in good condition for its age. With some scuffs, and pencil notations from techs long gone. I can email high-res. pix if you want. One thing I did note, when it’s cold there are occasional low level artifacts present in the signal, (maybe a capacitor?) After a couple of hours on (and toasty tubes) it works perfect. If you’re planning on firing it up and using it cold, you should maybe have a tech look at it. Most studios just leave these on all the time anyway, and would be no problem under these conditions.
