They are USA guitars, they have the strong 5-piece mahogany/maple necks and the German schaller tuners. I like the OP24 electronics. These instruments play well, are a high quality guitar and a good investment. The first one belongs to the original owner and looks to be in very good condition. So, I think that one would be the better purchase. The condition of the frets might be a concern. You would have to ask the seller for a better description or more photos.

I was kinda leery about the older OP24 Preamps. Also, both are sold as-is. No return policy. So I just bought a Celebrity cc44... With case and warranty... So shoot me!

The seller definitely didn't hesitate with a substantial starting bid. Beautiful dark sunburst. It looks to be a very nice guitar. I guess it was a 1768 made with the custom trim that year, maybe a special order.

A wonderful guitar, and if I would not have a 1547, a 1768 and a lot of other wooden Elites, I would head for this one. It has everything an Elite can give you - with the addition of the extra bling with abalone around the body and the neck. And, if it is really a Craftsmen, a handselected AAAA-spruce top! You won't find better! Kurt

And, I couldn't resist - and asked the seller, if he would sell it to germany ;) Not, that I wouldn't have enough wooden tops...
