Blue Adamas 1687

Wow!

I don't know what they did to the headstock, brown paint?

I think this one was up for auction a while ago. Bridge pins instead of string tubes. Weird

I know the owner and it really saddens me that he does not disclose everything in his description.

Yeah, I noticed that too, no negative feedback left for non-payment though. Seems a bit fishy.

all that custom work for $2500.00!!!! I'd like to know the story behind the string pins and headstock painting/staining/poly....whatever it is.

There was a thread on this not too long ago, when it was on ebay the last time.

cut and paste of the seller's reply:

"It is as I bought it. I have had nothing done. I alway thought it had the pegs because maybe that is what they did to the older models. I don't know.
I bought this guitar a many years ago and other than putting it out to hang on my wall I have not played it much. Hint why I am selling it. It is as I bought it."

Yeah, I've seen this user name in regard to a number of O's going back many years. I think I even sold him a basket-case 1970 GC-12 one time.

Got a reply from seller, said previous auction winner from Japan was non-payer and he had to wait for ebay fees to be returned before relisting.

Curious that he didn't leave any negative feedback for deadbeat bidder though.
