Joined: September 2005 Posts: 107 Location: South Jersey | I'm selling my 1985 Custom Legend to help fund a new (to me) '65 ES-355. This one I got last year, and it had a crack in the face, so back to the mothership it went for repair. Kerry took care of resetting the neck and gave the frets a crown and polish as well. The face was repainted the same shiny black after the repair, and she looks and sounds great. I just don't play her that much, as I've gotten to be a jazz wannabe in the last few years. It comes with a hard case, and I'll ship it stateside for $650. Less if you want to come by and pick it up in South Jersey. Feel free to email me at jwhite7777@netscape.net I have good eBay refernces, and am also a moderator on jemsite.com as well. When I get a few more minutes together I'll take some pics and get them up. thanks! jim

If no one is looking for one that's fine (happens all the time!) but I was curious to see if people thought I was asking way too much or something.

I love the look and feel of those Custom Legends, and they make quite the impression on and off stage. I'd be suprised if you didn't get a buyer from this site.

I have some pics of her here if anyone is interested. I don't take good photos, but I can definitely take more photos ;) I do need to move on something though, so this will likely head to the 'Bay soon (and for more money). I just wanted to offer it to the faithful here first as a thanks for all the info I've gotten here over the years. (The little marks in the photos that look like dust are indeed just dust caught in the flash.) jim

I did get $885 in ebay bids but that was the fifth time around on the ebay auctions and I am done with them for now. Buy on ebay now, selling is not so good still. If the flood of Asian made guitars continues we will see some american companies having a hard time selling the good stuff at all anymore.

I'd rather it go here than eBay. I sold three other guitars so I'm probably good for the moment.

The case fell closed while I was putting it away the other day and it put a "half a match head" sized nick in the face of the guitar. Heart breaking really, since it is almost never out of the case to begin with. I think it has secretly become attached to the Strat in my bedroom and is trying to figure out a way to stay or something ;) Anyway, thanks for the inquiries guys.
