Not much help so far. But here is what I have.

2006 - LX Neck Wood Top - Neck attachment has three bolts. Two into the neck. One up into the fretboard. Remember on the tour they put a block on the bottom of the fretboard over the body then fastened this down to help hold the fretboard to the body. This is the third screw.

Millenium - K bar - Two screws and a third adjustment screw. Nothing holding the fretboad down. No holes in the top. Appears to have a floating type fretboard.

JL3 - NON CUTAWAY - Not sure if it applies. Two bolts holding the neck in place. Nothing attached to the fretboard. No holes in the neck.

Should have seen the look on my wife's face when I told her I ordered the KLAP (Koa Limited Al Pep) model guitar. I'll be awhile living that down.

Check your email and BOOK IT. A black saddle on it would look nice.

Just wondering guys...

With the slothead, would this make a desirable classical guitar with nylon strings?

I know classical guitars normally have slot-heads...but from the picture it looked like this had steel strings?

It did have steel strings, Stephen. But a nylon string version would probably be sweet, with 12 frets and the dark tone of the Koa.

I like it but i think most of us would like to see maybe a 12 fret slothead cutaway wide nut. I would buy this 07 if it had a 13/4 nut.

Nylon strings would have a hard time driving a Koa top. Koa is a hardwood, it's difficult enough making a Koa top work with steel strings.

It IS a 12 fret slothead cutaway 1-3/4 nut. That's why we're all lined up to buy one! Kudos to Al for coming up with this configuration as his Lost Art Vintage Special. Absolutely brillent.

I've already put the Mrs. on alert that she needn't bother with Christmas shopping for me this year because Santa has set up a shop in Hartford and I'm on his list. Whether I've been naughty or nice this past year hasn't come up yet.

In all the hoopla about the fabulous guitars that have already or are soon to become available in the near future, perhaps some of you have completely forgotten about this beauty? I haven't.

I agree with the professor, somewhat lost in the shuffle of the ofc guitar. But I am convinced that this koa 12 fretter is gonna be a kick ass guitar.

Is the The Word or just word? Waiting for this one has been an exercise in patience. Not that it's a bad thing mind you.

I'm sure the wait will be well worth it. Personally I like the idea of spreading out the distance between the deposit and the final payment. Sort of softens the blow.

Assuming that Moody's info about the first koa being in transit is accurate, I imagine we should have some kind of review on 4/25.
