Nice guitar ... looks just like mine. :) Seems like it's got the OP-X preamp ... I've got an Optima in mine and the tuner comes in VERY handy for the various tunings these guitars are suited for.

Did they ever make one in something other than the red? There are so many great Ovations made but like the mandolins, and many of these great specialty guitars, they are painted like the celebrity doublenecks. If your lucky you find one done in natural........?? I guess it's great if you like the red...... I am just sick of looking at it, they must have had a truckload of it to get rid of at one point.
no matter......just a rant, this is a great guitar and I have a couple of low end alternate tunings I use a lot now that one of these would be just the thing for.

They make them in any color you ask for! Personnaly I never liked the red/black and it was over used.

I think they called it Cherry Cherryburst. Definately beat to death. It was that and natural. Maybe a black too. Those were the standard offerings.

A ds768 in original black would be cool, almost collectible, I've never seen one...

..come to think of it, a Custom Baritone might be a good suggestion for the 2008 Collector.

Lose the epaulet.
Do the EliteT (or maybe even Tangent) soundholes.

Make it a 768 deep bowl ... more acoustic oomph at the bottom end. I wonder what one of these would be like with a contour bowl ...

Forgive my ignorance on this one, but is this indeed a US made guitar? and does it have a deep bowl? (I sure do wish the O site had a search bar)

Thanks Noah, after a few of the posts, I thought it might be an import.
