I took out 1 shim (looks to be at least one more in there) and the action is more to my liking, with no buzz.

This is probably the nicest guitar I've ever owned! I do have to say, that my old 1121's and 1621 are still loved.

Said it before and I'll say it again - THESE ARE AMAZING GUITARS. I think they get passed over because of the whole Glen Campbell retro thing people see that this guitar LOOKS like the half million Ovations that came before it and hence it must SOUND like the half million that came before it. But NOT SO. To me ears this guitar knocks the socks off any Legend-type or Elite-type guitar. Personal opinion, only the FD14 and Koala would be ranked higher. Yes I think this is a better sounding guitar than the 1537! Mine should be coming in a month or so, can't wait. Dave

dave, my original 1627 was the cats ass before it took a header off the wall and busted the top. real sweet player. i intend to have it gone over by mother when the funds permit.....i cant rate it agains the FD14 and the Koala because i havnt played them but mine ranks with my adamas and folklore...jason

ps..the trc is on the folklore now....

Randy,

I saw the new auctions. I had emailed the seller to see if they were still available before the new auctions went up. He said they were and that he had a buyer previously and that was why the auction eneded early. Said buyer chose another guitar that was availble instead, hence the new auction.

Still think he got cold feet because the auction was not drawing the interest he thought it needed. I bet the same thing happens again. I'm watching this and am planning on bidding if I can sell the Tak.
