Joined: April 2007 Posts: 51 | I am selling my pristine 1981 Glenn Campbell 12. I do believe it is perhaps the nicest original that can be found for sale. It needs nothing, plays exceptional and looks new. The electronics are amazing in this older guitar. Please email me through the forum for larger pictures. $1225 shipping included in the U.S. ![]() I am also going to be selling the hard shell case from my 1997 Collectors' Ovation. I am going to be keeping the guitar, but selling the case. Just like the Glenn Campbell, this case is absolutely pristine. $195 shipping included in the U.S. ![]() Thanks!

John, I would love to hang on to the case, but I have some other expenses hanging over my head right now. I am definitely keeping the guitar. What an amazing little guitar it is! The Ovation Parlor is a wolf in sheeps clothing if you ask me....incredible projection, tone, and responsiveness. My 97 Collector had a bad piezo pickup in it when I bought it so I have replaced the factory saddle with a bone saddle and I have installed a K and K pickup system in it. The bone saddle really made the guitar shine acoustically and the K and K sounds amazing in this guitar. From the factory, the guitar had a plastic saddle, a piezo pickup, a metal cradle for the pickup, and two spacers under it all. Replacing all that with one piece of bone really has made a big difference in the acoustic properties of the guitar. I have not yet wired the K and K to the TS preamp inside the guitar, but I plan on doing that this weekend. It would be great to have the sound quality of the K and K and still use the cool volume control on the side of the guitar. There is no doubt that I will regret selling the case, but I must do so right now. The same thing applies to the Glenn Campbell. I know that I will not find another GC as nice, but I must sell it. I am hoping that Lost Art orders up some more 12 fret slothead 12 strings and that if they do, I will be in a better position to buy one. Thanks for the comments on the photographs! Thanks again for the kind responses.

Let's face it, this guy knows the value of preparation. Personally, I can't wait to hear one of those cannons. Welcome, SlotheadFan, and feel free to stick around.
