Congratulations Mark! As I recall you were worried about finding a nice guitar in your price range! That is a great deal on a 1537.

Trust me, you'll love the big beautiful full sound. stereo output, great neck. There are a lot of great guitars, Ovation and others, but the 1537 is a unique and special instrument. Like I said - you'll never regret buying a 1537.

Did I mention they are loud!

Congrats on your 1537 Mark. I wish you're anywhere close to where Bill [Weaser P] resides to check out his 1537 -- completely restored from the factory and some. The guitar is down-right gorgeous, and the tone is just awesome.

"IF" you're in my neck of the woods, you may want to check out Mitchrx's Custom Legend, which was also completely restored from the factory. What the factory had done to these guitars will make a believer out of you, and as Grif mentioned "you won't be disappointed."

Great grab Mark! This is the cream of the Ovation crop. As everyone else has said, the boys at the factory do work that borders on magical, if you need to send it there. I can't say enough about their response and workmanship in my experience with them.

I owned a lot of ovation and adamas, I sold my FD14 and my Ute to buy the 47, but I recently bought a 1537 to Kazu (OFC japanese member) and it's really a great guitar, beautiful, great sound, very "classe", I'm sure I'LL never sell it !!!!!!!

Just to let everybody know -- I have sold both guitars...to OFC members! I will more than likely have some more great guitars up on the block, but I'll let you know. Thanks.

Oh, unfortunately I make myself known way too much already!

Many thanks to everyone about their support about this guitar. It's great to know that the members on this forum are genuinely interested in making other people happy.

Money order is on its way to Arthur and he's already shipping the guitar! Very nice gesture.

I'm happy for the new owner of the Adamas. Gorgeous guitar and I'd have bought it if I had more money. I'm sure I'll be very happy with the 1537. So, its a win-win-win for everyone!

Regards,
Mark

I must admit, it was I.

Initially I was interested in one of those export models Al has/had. So I decided to consolidate my 'inventory' by selling off a bunch of . Then I thought maybe I'd buy a , but those seem to be universally frowned upon.

My wife, upon finding out about my plans said, , but once I explained that the four guitar cases stashed in P-body's room (under the crib, in the spare closet, in the corner...) would no longer be cluttering the place up, she said, .

Anyway, the 1681 popped up; (mostly) right guitar and the (sort of) right time. Arthur and I came to an agreement on , and now I'm just waiting for delivery.

The planned 'consolidation' continues, but after posting repeatedly on various boards about (my limited knowledge of) the VXT, I'm thinking once Al can get those in with a -4 finish... :D

So, once I have the Adamas, you think I can become one of the ???
